Our Berry Story

Berry Paradise began in 2005 with a dream and a small 5-acre plot in Victoria's Yarra Valley. Founders Emma and Jack Thompson, third-generation farmers with a passion for sustainable agriculture, set out to create the sweetest berries Australia had ever tasted. Starting with just strawberries, their first harvest yielded exceptional fruit that quickly gained local recognition.

By 2010, consumer demand had grown so significantly that the Thompsons expanded to a 45-hectare property and began cultivating blueberries alongside their signature strawberries. The unique climate of the Yarra Valley, with its cool nights and warm days, proved perfect for developing the intense flavor profiles that Berry Paradise became known for.

In 2015, seeing the potential to provide fresh berries year-round to Australian consumers, Berry Paradise expanded to Queensland's Sunshine Coast hinterland. This second 60-hectare farm allowed us to stagger production seasons and experiment with varieties uniquely suited to subtropical conditions.

Today, Berry Paradise has become Australia's premier berry destination, welcoming over 100,000 visitors annually across both farms for pick-your-own experiences, farm tours, and berry festivals. Our berries are supplied to premium markets and restaurants across Australia, and our sustainable farming practices have been recognized with multiple industry awards.
